ನವದೆಹಲಿ:ಸಂಸತ್ತಿನ ರಾಜ್ಯಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನೆ ನಡೆದ ಕಲಾಪವು ತೀವ್ರ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಸಂಘರ್ಷ, ಆರೋಪ–ಪ್ರತ್ಯಾರೋಪ ಮತ್ತು ವಿರೋಧ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಸಭಾತ್ಯಾಗದ ನಡುವೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯಿತು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿಗಳ ಭಾಷಣದ ಮೇಲಿನ ವಂದನಾ ನಿರ್ಣಯದ ಚರ್ಚೆ ವೇಳೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ಅವರು ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ವಿರೋಧ ಪಕ್ಷ, ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣ ಟೀಕೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು.
ಚರ್ಚೆಯ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲೇ ವಿರೋಧ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನಾಯಕ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನ ಖರ್ಗೆ ಅವರು, ಲೋಕಸಭೆಯ ಪ್ರತಿಪಕ್ಷ ನಾಯಕ ರಾಹುಲ್ ಗಾಂಧಿಯವರಿಗೆ ಸದನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲು ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಲಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಆಡಳಿತ ಪಕ್ಷದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಆರೋಪಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ವಿಚಾರವೇ ಸದನದಲ್ಲಿ ಗದ್ದಲಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಯಿತು. ಬಳಿಕ ವಿರೋಧ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಸಭಾತ್ಯಾಗ ನಡೆಸಿದರೂ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಮೋದಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಭಾಷಣವನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಆಡಳಿತದ ಕಾಲದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಕುರಿತು ಮೋದಿ ಟೀಕೆ
ರಾಜ್ಯಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಮೋದಿ, ದೇಶದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಆಡಳಿತವನ್ನು ಕಟುವಾಗಿ ಟೀಕಿಸಿದರು. “ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತ ವಿಶ್ವದ 6ನೇ ಅತಿದೊಡ್ಡ ಆರ್ಥಿಕತೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ 2014ರ ವೇಳೆಗೆ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ದೇಶವನ್ನು 11ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ತಳ್ಳಿತು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ, ಎನ್ಡಿಎ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ನೀತಿಗಳ ಫಲವಾಗಿ ಇಂದು ಭಾರತ ವಿಶ್ವದ 4ನೇ ಅತಿದೊಡ್ಡ ಆರ್ಥಿಕತೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ 3ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಏರುವ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಮತಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ರಾಜಕೀಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗಿರುವ ಪಕ್ಷಗಳು ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳ ಬಲವರ್ಧನೆಗೆ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಗಮನಹರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಮೋದಿ ಆರೋಪಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ದೂರದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಅಥವಾ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಯೋಜನೆ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಅವರ ಆಡಳಿತದ ತಪ್ಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಲು ನಮ್ಮ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಸಮಯ ವ್ಯಯಿಸಬೇಕಾಯಿತು ಎಂದರು.
ಭಾರತದ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಸ್ಥಾನಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ
ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಮೋದಿ ಅವರು ಭಾರತದ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಚಿತ್ರಣದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ವಿವಿಧ ದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ತೆರಳಿದ ಸರ್ವಪಕ್ಷ ನಿಯೋಗಗಳು ಭಾರತವನ್ನು ಜಗತ್ತು ನೋಡುವ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾದ ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಕಂಡಿವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಭಾರತ ಈಗ ಸಹಾಯ ಕೇಳುವ ದೇಶವಲ್ಲ, ಸಮಾನವಾಗಿ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಶಾಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರವಾಗಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
ರಾಹುಲ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ–ರವನೀತ್ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ವಿವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಸತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪೋಟ
ಇನ್ನೊಂದೆಡೆ, ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಚಿವ ರವನೀತ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅವರನ್ನು ರಾಹುಲ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ‘ದೇಶದ್ರೋಹಿ’ ಎಂದು ಕರೆದಿದ್ದ ವಿಷಯವು ಸಂಸತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರೀ ವಿವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಮೋದಿ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಿ, ಇದು ಕೇವಲ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸಚಿವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧದ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲ, ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಸಿಖ್ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಮನೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಬಯಲು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಮೋದಿ, “ರಾಹುಲ್ ಗಾಂಧಿಯವರ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ನಾಯಕತ್ವದ ದ್ವೇಷ ರಾಜಕಾರಣವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಸಿಖ್ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಅವಮಾನ” ಎಂದು ಕಿಡಿಕಾರಿದರು.
ಸಂಸತ್ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿರೋಧ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ
ಬುಧವಾರ ಸಂಸತ್ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಮಾನತುಗೊಂಡ ವಿರೋಧ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಸಂಸದರು ನಡೆಸಿದ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಯ ವೇಳೆ ಈ ವಿವಾದ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಉಗ್ರ ಸ್ವರೂಪ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿತು. 2024ರ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗೆ ಮುನ್ನ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ತೊರೆದು ಬಿಜೆಪಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದ ರವನೀತ್ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅವರನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ರಾಹುಲ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ, “ಒಬ್ಬ ದೇಶದ್ರೋಹಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಅವನ ಮುಖ ನೋಡಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ ಘಟನೆ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಕ ಆಕ್ರೋಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಯಿತು.
“ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ ಸಹೋದರ… ನನ್ನ ದೇಶದ್ರೋಹಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತ. ಚಿಂತಿಸಬೇಡಿ, ನೀವು ಮತ್ತೆ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ಗೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗುತ್ತೀರಿ” ಎಂದು ವ್ಯಂಗ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ರಾಹುಲ್ ಗಾಂಧಿಯ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ನಾಯಕರಿಂದ ತೀವ್ರ ಟೀಕೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಯಿತು.
ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಸಂಘರ್ಷದ ನಡುವೆ ಕಲಾಪ ಅಸ್ತವ್ಯಸ್ತ

New Delhi: Proceedings in the Rajya Sabha yesterday continued amid intense political confrontation, allegations and counter-allegations, and a walkout by Opposition members. During the debate on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the government’s achievements and launched sharp criticism against the Opposition, particularly the Congress.
At the very beginning of the debate, Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge accused the ruling party of denying the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, the opportunity to speak first in the House. This allegation triggered an uproar in the House. Even after Opposition members staged a walkout, Prime Minister Modi continued his address.
Modi targets Congress over economic record
Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister Modi strongly criticised the Congress over the country’s economic condition during its tenure.
“At the time of Independence, India was the world’s sixth-largest economy. But by 2014, the Congress government had pushed the country down to the 11th position,” he said.
In contrast, he stated that due to the policies of the NDA government, India has now become the world’s fourth-largest economy and is moving rapidly towards becoming the third-largest.
He further alleged that parties indulging in vote-bank politics never focus on strengthening key sectors. The Congress, he said, lacked vision and a clear roadmap, and his government has had to spend considerable time correcting the mistakes of previous administrations.
Change in India’s global standing
Prime Minister Modi also spoke about India’s changing global image, saying that all-party delegations that recently visited various countries have witnessed a clear positive shift in how the world views India.
India is no longer a country that seeks help, he said, but is now recognised as a strong nation engaging with the global community on equal terms.
Rahul Gandhi–Ravneet Bittu controversy erupts in Parliament
Meanwhile, the controversy over Rahul Gandhi referring to Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu as a “traitor” triggered a major political storm in Parliament. Responding to the issue, Prime Minister Modi said the remark was not merely an attack on an individual minister but reflected the Congress party’s mindset towards the Sikh community as a whole.
“The statements made by Rahul Gandhi expose the politics of hatred practiced by the Congress and its leadership. This is an insult to the Sikh community,” the Prime Minister said.
Opposition protest in Parliament complex
The controversy further intensified during a protest staged by suspended Opposition MPs in the Parliament complex on Wednesday. Rahul Gandhi, referring to Ravneet Bittu—who switched from the Congress to the BJP ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections—remarked, “Look at him, a traitor is walking in front of you,” drawing widespread criticism.
His sarcastic remarks, “Namaskar, brother… my traitor friend. Don’t worry, you will return to the Congress,” drew strong condemnation from BJP leaders.
Proceedings disrupted amid political confrontation
Overall, the events in Parliament yesterday highlighted the widening rift between the ruling party and the Opposition. Amid claims of economic achievements, community-related allegations, and personal attacks, the proceedings were repeatedly disrupted.
